Divine Threads is a faith-based organization, specializing in serving women weathering any circumstance by providing for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through clothing, employment assistance, and healing community.
We are a referral-based non-profit, working with other agencies and ministries in the Portland Metro area, to offer a holistic approach to assisting women. As our referring agencies identify needs that we can fill, their clients are referred to us. If you are a woman needing our services, please see the list of referral agencies provided on our Services page.
We hope to share with every woman who walks through our doors that she is loved, is beautiful and is created in God’s image. Our team of volunteers is here to provide support and professional fashion, hair, makeup, styling, and tailoring services to every woman who comes to Divine Threads.
At Divine Threads, our goal is to serve any woman hoping for a fresh start, including those escaping domestic abuse or homelessness, victims of sex trafficking, women re-entering the workforce, single mothers, those recently released from prison, and more. We hope to provide each client with the clothes, personal care products, and support she needs to succeed as she continues her journey.

Every member of our volunteer team has experienced firsthand the love and grace offered by the gospel, and we hope to impart that same feeling to the women who walk through our doors. So far, we have been able to bring confidence and joy to over 230 women, providing them with over 5,500 pieces of clothing.

The House
The Divine Threads farmhouse was acquired in 2011 when it was just a ramshackle residence. Where others saw a teardown, we saw an opportunity. As construction professionals, volunteers, and our founder worked on the house; it shared its hidden gems with us. Hardwood floors lay beneath carpets and beautiful shiplap hung behind drywall. The true beauty and character of the farmhouse were revealed, just as the beauty and confidence of our clients come out as we work with them.
The Farmhouse is now a special place designed specifically for the comfort and well-being of everyone who visits. We hope every volunteer, referral partner, and client who visits our beautifully refinished house feels safe and joyful upon crossing the threshold.
