Dear friends of Divine Threads,
We are in a strange and extraordinary historical moment but in this uncertain time, we know God is certain and still sovereign. And although we are in this together , we recognize we may not all be in the same boat. For our challenges are unique to different circumstances, families, homes, and work conditions…Not in the same boat, but in the same storm. And it is Jesus who “stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.” Psalm 107:29
As always but especially during this “storm”, our hearts and concerns are with our clients, volunteers, donors, referral partners, and their families. We pray that each of you are healthy and safe. We miss you dearly! Our ministry is one that is not accomplished so easily from a virtual environment. We long for assembly and togetherness, and we style our clients with close individual attention. But we desire to continue to serve our community even through this unprecedented pandemic; we recently asked our referral partners for ways we can continue to support their own ministry efforts. We also would love to remain connected with each of you, even if you just need to share your story and be heard. We care and want to hear your hearts and stories!
Divine Threads anticipated sharing our new boutique during our grand opening in early April. Much sweat, hard work, and prayer were poured into the remodel of the new home, as a place to minister to the disadvantaged women in our communities that include those from homelessness, abuse, Coffee Creek correctional facility, DHS, Family Promise, and many more.
It was with heavy hearts, that we had to cancel the boutique’s grand opening. But although our gatherings have been temporarily suspended, we continue to serve our community. If you would like to join us in serving, please consider the following:
- Pray for those in need
- Volunteer when we reopen
- Refer front-line workers such as health care professionals, first responders, essential employees that are in need of clothing/accessories support
We also welcome you to share ways we can be praying for you and your families. And If you would like to share your own unique stories on how Divine Threads has impacted you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We are holding you and your families in prayer and eagerly anticipating our reunion after this storm when our welcome embrace may just be a bit tighter and longer.
Trusting God who stills the storm,
